A garden above the treetops

We found inspiration in a renaissance tower overlooking the Tuscan town of Lucca. Trees grow right at its top; apart from the fantastic views, it offers a calm place to relax in the shadow. We redesigned the tunnel vent as a meeting point, a place to stop and look around. On top of that – the concrete chimney lining is able to absorb 70 percent of the environmental dust surrounding it, creating a healthier microclimate.
