Just like birches growing up into the sky

We took a symbolic approach to designing this new cemetery in Hostivař, Prague. Firmly believing in the afterlife as the soul’s journey to heaven, a place of eternal peace, we placed the urns inside slim white pillars where they “levitate” between the two spheres. We lowered the ground level, thus respecting the original cemetery and creating an atmosphere of safety and intimacy.
